Suzy Huang
Suzy Huang moved to Larchmont in 1999 with her husband Wes. Originally from the Chicago area and Austin, TX, respectively, Suzy and Wes have raised three children in the Mamaroneck school district. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, Suzy worked for the law firm Coudert Brothers, both in NYC and in Paris, and then as a Public Affairs Manager for Great Brands of Europe, a subsidiary of Groupe Danone.
Once her first child was born, Suzy stayed home and started her numerous volunteer roles with local schools and organizations: Murray Avenue School PTA (Vice President), Mamaroneck Schools Foundation (Board member), Larchmont Newcomers Club (Co-President), Westchester Children’s Museum (Volunteer Coordinator), Larchmont Avenue Church (Preschool, Nominating, Parish Care Committees, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon) and Orienta Beach Club (Co-Chair Tennis Committee).
Suzy first became aware of At Home on the Sound’s need for volunteers in 2015 through her church and At Home on the Sound’s mission was immediately appealing to her; her own elderly parents were still living in their home in the Chicago area at the time and would have benefitted enormously from a similar organization. She has been a Volunteer Driver for At Home on the Sound since 2015 and cherishes her conversations with members. In her free time, Suzy can be found on the tennis/paddle/pickleball court, doing a crossword, reading or playing with her dog, Lucy.
